Not to wear shorts and a t-shirt when traveling from a warm climate to a destination where it was in the 30′s

When I travel I do see travelers do that quite a bit. It is pretty easy to forget this. I end up seeing them duck into the restrooms to change or do so on the plane at times.
The tip here is to check the weather before you leave. There are many Web sites that provide that information. An example is Weather.com or just type your destination in Google.com like this “weather in London” where London is the city to which you are traveling. Google will then give you the current weather plus the highs and lows for the next four days.

Anyone else has this temporary lapse in memory?
When traveling internationally, it would be helpful to know where you are to go thru immigration… sometimes it’s on the departure side, other times on the arrival…..I even had one situation where the “Direct Flight” plane landed at a small airport – had everyone get their luggage, go thru immigration and customs and reboard the SAME plane to go on to it’s final destination. (That was in Norway). It would help with time planning to know where and how immigration / customs requirements are met for the particular flight you are on BEFORE you get to the airport.

These are very valid points and I appreciate you sharing them with us.
They these direct flights that make a stop then make you “pre-clear” are quite interesting. They do help you on the arrival though as you don’t have to be in Immigration with all the other flights coming into that large airport. So there is a brighter side to it all. This happens in Shannon as well for one particular carrier.
Note that you can find out this kind of information from your airline. Sometimes it is on all those e-mails they send you after you purchase your ticket.
